Reach Menaggio by ferry (departing at 9:45 AM) or boat (departing at 10:45 AM) from Bellagio, enjoying the crossing and the views that embrace the lake’s shores.

Overlooking Lake Lugano (Ceresio), this villa was once the residence of Antonio Fogazzaro, the writer who found inspiration here for his celebrated novel The Little World of the Past. Take the boat departing at 4:10 PM back to Bellagio, or, if you wish to extend your trip, opt for the ferry departing at 3:55 PM, which passes in front of Varenna. From the water, you’ll be able to admire some of the lake’s most iconic landmarks before returning to Bellagio.
