After crossing the historic centre of Griante with its ancient lanes, a simple yet uphill walk leads us, along a comfortable mule track lined with devotional chapels, to the Sanctuary of San Martino, a small church nestled into the mountainside. The meadow in front of the church forms a natural balcony overlooking a large part of the Lake, the surrounding mountains and the tip of Bellagio. The panorama from here is truly worth the effort!
